What is the Principle Approach? It has been said that whoever educates our children disciples our children. Education is not neutral, as such it is either man-centered or God-centered. Secular classrooms today elevate man attributing all advancement to man’s efforts. The Principle Approach classroom teaches students to see God’s H和 moving to fulfill His plans 和 purposes—making God the center of all things, 给他, 不是人, 荣耀. 这是 the Principle Approach.

In a Principle Approach school, students learn through a method of scholarship that teaches them to think 和 reason from biblical principles. Students learn to develop the skill 和 habit of reflective thinking 和 deductive reasoning derived from Scripture. This technique develops a skill, 一种习惯, 一种思维方式, 和, 最终, shapes the worldview of the student. This process lays the truth of God’s Word at the center of 学习, which helps teach students how to think—not what to think—while it illuminates the underst和ing 和 consecrates the mind.

A Classical Christian Education

At Dayspring, we believe that the classics add to the depth 和 breadth of the Principle Approach 教育. Students learn the classical disciplines of logic, which exercises students in the mechanics of truth 和 enables them to work through ideas 和 develop mature views.

在修辞, students learn to communicate persuasively to better defend their faith 和 position themselves as leaders wherever God may call them. Exegesis provides an explanation 和 interpretation of the original texts of Scripture. The classical languages of Latin 和 New Testament Greek are taught.

Classical literature at every grade level provides an enriched 和 highly developed vocabulary.
